Sniping
Volume = Key
One of the most important factors to consider when sniping is volume. Generally speaking, the highest volume events for any project are either 1) during the mint, 2) right before/after a reveal, and 3) immediately after any big twitter or discord announcement. I generally only snipe during these three scenarios. If you’re just logging on and looking for a quick snipe, an easy way to identify volume spikes is using the 15m and 30m scenarios in the “Trending” tab in Icy.tools, or the firehoses in Parsec and Moby.gg. I also find Traitsniper.com very effective Start by viewing the “# of sales transactions”. Before you dive in, check the floor prices relative you P&L and bankroll. If you’re on a small bankroll, consider aiming for projects <0.2 ETH.
Hunt the Listings Feed on OpenSea
You are likely already aware that you can watch the “Sales” feed firehose flow in OpenSea, but did you know that you can also watch the “Listings” feed? To find it, click on the “volume” pane on the project you’re after, select “Listings” and de-select “Sales”. At the time of writing this, OS appears to auto-update this list every 30 seconds, though I’ve found that manually refreshing (using F5, ctrl+R, or a Chrome auto-refresh extension) can populate the listings more quickly. It’s a grind, but it can pay off if you put in the time. This can be especially helpful for small P&Ls looking to build a bank roll.
Personally if you want to get into sniping I recommend using a tool. Tools are constantly coming into the market with some of the most popular being NFT Nerds & Traitsniper. Using these gives you a massive advantage to quickbuy NFT's over your competition!
